January 22: prepping for tile

 

We started putting down HardiBacker to prepare the floor for tile.

And, again, my two sentries keep eye over the supplies.

January 9: bedroom flooring begins

We started on the floor in the upstairs bedroom...

the part around the closets will be saved for another night!

January 1: a new year

We know how to throw a party!

To start 2011, my man started hanging gutters on the addition...

...and he raided the shed for leftover laminate flooring.

Blessing #6 has designated herself sentry to the boxes.

And when she's not working, Mowgli dutifully keeps watch.

December 22: fan club!

Today was fan day!

...in the new room...

...in the entryway...

(whoa! Crazy CJ way up high installing a very big fan!)

...and in the attic room...

December 21: opened up

Today they took down the temporary board
that was in the old kitchen window....

This was, of course, the one day I hadn't gotten
the dirty dishes into the dishwasher!

Plastic came down, too, and everything is all opened up!

December 20: painting inside

We spent another day out of the house while they were painting. 
Then we came home and opened all the windows
-on a cold, wintry day-
to air out the house!

December 19: Mowgli

The cat would like to get out of the house.
He likes looking out the window and dreaming
of the free life in the great outdoors...
without the cone collar.
